The house of our dreams

Susana and Javier were very clear about they wanted a house with a comfortable area for them and an independent one for their children, with common areas to share which them, who live away for studies, would have their small apartment when they returned home. “Our children are delighted”.

*At the end of the report you’ll find photos of the previous state of the house.

The Project

Two floors joined together without any order or criteria was the starting point of the project entrusted to us by Susana and Javier. The renovation involved redistributing their home while maintaining the same program of needs, including two living rooms, one for them and another for their older children.

Highlighting the important

Susana and Javier, both archaeologists and lovers of art and design, owned many unique pieces and artworks prior to the renovation, which were taken into careful consideration during the interior design process, finding their space and showcasing their value.

The central black box

The solution involved consolidating the three bathrooms, the master suite's walk-in closet, and the library within a black box that also housed the interior air conditioning units. This volume is located in the center of the house and helps us define each space, achieving a layout with minimal hallways and interior partition walls.
"It's the key to the house, the choice of the black finish is a complete success, we love it!"

A white oasis

Susana wanted a bathtub and a shower in her bathroom. In this case, the solution involved designing a shower and bathtub enclosure made entirely of Krion.

"We embarked on a complete renovation of our primary residence with Volta_. Our house consisted of two floors merged together with no particular order, just a wall knocked down and two doors opened. After extensive conversations to understand our needs and lifestyle, the professionals at Volta_ proposed a comprehensive renovation project that thrilled us. Following the project, we also hired them for on-site management, and the result has been spectacular. Our current home completely lives up to the expectations we could already see in the project. We are very happy with the results and can wholeheartedly recommend the professionals at Volta_."
